The Perfect Combination
Lex and I took bets on how long Chunky Funky Monkey, the Park Slope head shop that sold deadhead paraphernalia and anti-war posters would stay in business. It outlasted both of our predictions, but folded late last month. Its new occupant seems to be heaven on earth. After all, is there anything better than chocolate, coffee, and wine-- all in one place?
Of course, it will have to withstand the ultimate testme [coffee], Lex [chocolate] and Quinn [wine]...should she ever make it out to the wilds of Brooklyn from the UWS.

Oh. My. Where is that? Because I'm totally going there the next time I go back to Brooklyn.

Go to the Chocolate Room on 5th Ave...down towards St. Mark's Place...it's amazing and they are so nice. Great deserts, great beverages and service. The ice cream is all homemade.

This is a great little chocolate/coffee bar (I haven't tried the wine yet). It's cozy, the staff is very friendly, the patio/garden in the back is lovely, and they have FREE wireless internet access. It just opened a week ago and I've already been 4 times.

who are you?
I just did a google search for the cocoa bar because I live around the corner when I found this link.
The strange thing is that my mothers name is Calla Lilly, which is not a name one often hears. That is all.
Oh, and yes, it seems to be a very good cafe.
