Two Avenues
5th Avenue & 7th Avenue; Park Slope, Brooklyn
I finally got around to modifying my Polaroid SX-70 yesterday morning, which involved prying off the front photocell and replacing the neutral density filter with a clear piece of plastic, then adding a neutral density filter to the lens...at 6:30 a.m. Because that is how I work.
I really like the SX-70 a lot. I didn't realize that it had a focus ring (or dial, I guess). This is great but I've been having a lot of trouble seeing through the viewfinder. I think it has something to do with my glasses, but half the time I go to look into it quickly, I can't see any image at all. I have to tilt my head oddly and I'm wondering if this all has something to do with reflections in my glasses...and I can't take them off to focus, as I am completely blind sans spectacles. But regardless, when the camera is properly focused-- so not like the left image above-- it takes fairly sharp pictures, provided there is enough light.
Now, why there was a big blue rooster cutout painted with a XXX and shoved in a bush on 5th Avenue, I do not know. Jumbo eggs? Naughtiness?

Can you differentiate your descriptions for those of us who have no clue?
P.S. I thin the XXX on the chicken is part of the "eat more beef" campaign happening in pkslp brooklyn.
er... I just made that up

clearly it's a caution sign for chickens, they must be spraying for pullets inside.
