(b)land
On Saturday night, after seeing the eternally depressing "now I want to shove my head in an oven" House of Sand and Fog at BAM, T and I sought out some chow at Cambodian Cuisine.
I was delighted to find that you could order your food bland. Of course, why else would I seek out Cambodian food except to get chicken, rice, and lemongrass with no spices. Does anyone really eat like that? They must, but to me it's pretty sad.

No, no, you've misinterpreted the b(land). It's short for Bush Land - the place where any foreign food with spice is a subversive guise for crippling our good old American (mad cow) food industry.
Try ordering this way the next time:
"I'll have the Cambodian Chef's Salad, but make mine b-land - (wink,wink)"
and they'll bring out a cheeseburger
