My cat was sitting several inches from my monitor and jumped a foot when he heard the Olive noises. He is puzzled and is currently peering in the speakers to see if he can find the source.

Our cats looked wary for a minute but then went on their merry way. I think they are immune to Olive's dramatic ways.

That's actually really cute. I'm listening at work though so I can't test it on Tahsha. Though I can say that when I played "kabuki kitten" she totally freaked out.

it's often unclear as to why she makes the noises. in this case, i think olga was in the room. regardless of whether she is happy or not, if you touch her you will get that weird moaning. i think she's trying to seem scary.

She sounds like those "whee!" noises at the beginning of "Highway 61 Revisited." My two cats gave me big saucer eyes (and then said, "Okay, enough of that, where's dinner?").

my cat Mickey makes those sounds when he can't find me...which is usally when I'm in the shower. Perfect timing....
